Torrents do hog bandwidth though causing LAG but that's just something you have to adjust yourself on your computer.TOO EXPENSIVE.at 129.99 when its new model is 149.99. It works exactly as advertised, prioritizes gaming, open networks for everything even p2ps apps.
I'm not real proficient at networking stuff, but I was able to easily set up the wireless portion. plugged it in and haven't had to reset it since. X-Box works great now.Set up was painless. I used to have a Netgear router that I had to reset all the time when it got bogged down. I found this Microsoft approved router. Also the Netgear would not allow me to play the X-box online. hooked it up.
Great for an internet junkie girlfriend who's boyfriend is ALWAYS playing XBOX 360. Loved the first one we bought so we had to get another. But wireless.
It was easy to set up, even for a beginner like me. This router does everything it was advertised to I run two laptops and an X-Box and it performs flawlessly.
Firmware 1.8 put the router into bridge mode easily. However, I have 2 of these routers connected and 1 of them with firmware 1.8 and no problem with it. While this model been out for awhile, it's still a worthwhile investment considered the gigaport connection. Firmware 1.8 is not available from Dlink's website anymore due to user's feedback on wireless performance issue.
